#23 Final Thoughts

This has been quite the learning experience. Things I thought I knew, I really didn't. Things I wanted to know more about I did. I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to learn all these new technologies. I am ready to venture eyes wide open into unknow territories!

#22 AudioBooks

I didn't know there was a website that you could get audiobooks for free. I have often thought about giving that a try, but never took the step to do it...until now!

I searched librivox and was amazed at all the choices available. I have downloaded the introduction to The Love Letters of Abelard and Heloise by Peter Abelard and Heloise

I can hardly wait to listen to it!

#21 Podcast

I found a great podcast on keeping the library clean...that seems to be a never ending job with or without a cleaning staff.

They had some cool suggestions....always a good thing

#20 YOUTUBE

I use YOUTUBE mostly as a learning tool. I have watched reviews, tutorials, and exercise videos. Pretty much you name it, you can find it on youtube.

#19 Web 2.0

I was cruzin over the "short" list when Craigslist caught my eye. I was introduced to this website a couple years ago.

Its a great tool to use when you need to sell or find something. You can find anthing from free items to the personals. It doesnt cost a thing to place an "ad". No personal information is given out unless you want that. There are numerous "networks" that you can search in, if your lucky enough to be that close to several.

I myself don't have any negative things to say about this site except maybe the "network" I am in probably doesn't get utilized enough. The more that know about it, will use it, both buying and selling, creating a faster turn over. Sounds like a plan to me!

#18 Zoho

I never imagined there were that many places to create documents, pps, speadsheets online. You need never worry when you get in a pinch.

I explored zoho and was quite amazed at all the app available. I could create a invoice, speadsheet, pps, word doc, the list goes on and on. I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw wiki. (see the blog below) I had to give it a whirl. Have patience...my wiki will get better soon!

# 17 PBWiki

Yep, this wiki is some pretty interesting stuff...I have found another "passion"

#16 Wiki

I am almost ashamsed to say this. I really didn't know what a wiki was until now. I have heard folks make mention of them, but really didn't understand what they really were. What an interesting way people can interact on a subject in one place for all to read.

This could be very useful in a library. You could assign task, projects, suggestions, etc using a wiki. This is something I will do a bit more research on.

#15 Library 2.0

I found a very interesting article on this subject. Check it out here:

http://www.librarybytes.com/2006/11/nine-seven-best-practices-on-learning.html

There was one particular articly there that sparked my interest:

Nine Best Practices on Learning 2.0.

It broke down what the author thought were the most important points of learning 2.0, in an easy to understand, non pressue way. I enjoyed it. Hope you do to.

#14 Technoriati

Talk about a useful site. Partically any subject you want, in blog form, you will find on this site. I never thought blogging was as big as it is, boy did I learn something.

I myself, love reading what other people have to say about things. Different perspectives, variations and such.

This is indeed a wonderful site.

#13 Bookmarks

This is a very useful tool when you dont have access to your home or work computer where you commonly save bookmarks you frequent on a regular basis. I have used a similar website that will bookmark the website as well as save your passwords. This is very helpful when you have numerous passwords as well as websites you want to access. You can find it at:

#12 Gaming

We all love games. We ventured into onto the web with eyes wide open. MSN as well as POGO were favorite game spots. I for one LOVED playing spades and blackjack. I tinkered with some applications on both facebook and myspace, but they really weren't what I was looking for.

#11 Social Networking

We have been very active in social networking for some time now. We have both a Myspace and Facebook. We post information we feel might benefit our patrons. Come check us out here.
